Satellite radio signal problems
If your receiver shows no signal, constant acquisition, or audio that drops in and out, the root cause is usually either the antenna path or the service authorization. A quick diagnosis will tell you which one it is.
1. Antenna blocked by roof, trees, or metallic obstructions
2. Loose or damaged cable connection at the receiver or antenna port
3. Signal authorization not fully processed after activation
4. Metallic tint or roof rack interference reducing signal quality
5. Receiver not fully initialized after a power interruption
How to fix signal issues
Start by checking the antenna cable and moving to open sky. If the signal returns outdoors, the issue is placement or obstruction. If the signal is still absent indoors or in open sky, the receiver may be missing authorization or the cable may be damaged.
A full power cycle and a signal refresh often resolve stuck or delayed activation issues. If the signal drops only in some areas, it is likely due to obstructions, roof racks, or tint rather than a mailbox or account failure.
